Finishing the deck, and trimming the edges.
Now, where you put the 5mm lines around the edges of the deck, you put a 0.6 x 5mm Mahogany strip around it.
The edges also get covered with Mahogany, a strip 1.5 x 3mm along all the edges.
Now to cover the exposed bulkheads with the 0.6 x 5mm in an overlaying fashion, called clinker-build. The first photo is from the instruction sheet, the next is on the ship.
I will try to finish off the rest of the bulkheads today. This is time consuming, as you need to cover about a 1/3 of the plank, making sure you don't have a small finishing strip at the top of the bulkhead, a lot of dry fitting and measuring.
Nice job, so far.
